City W Furniture (Dongguan Window of City Furniture) is one of the biggest furniture manufacturers in China. In 2002, City W Furniture established its own manufacturing factory in the furniture capital – Houjie Town, Dongguan, China. City W Furniture has since then received numerous gold awards for design and innovation through its strict adherence to original design and excellent quality.

Our design consultant – Riccardo Giovanetti
He was born in Milan in 1967. He attended the Faculty of Architecture at the Milan Polytechnic where he graduated in Industrial Design in 1992. He began his career in the field of design by working as a designer for a number of new brands, which in those years appeared in the panorama of design production. Alongside these first experiences he was deeply involved in design research, borne out, among other things, by many different projects held in Italy and Japan. The new millennium signalled the start of a new phase, which saw a growing activity in the world of industrial design; testifying to this fact are collaborations with prestigious firms such as Azimut, Cassina, Fast, Flou, Fontana Arte, Leucos, Pallucco, SpHaus, Whirlpool.
He works also as design director for several international firms as Armstrong, Bayer, Forbo, Frati, Takett, Omnidecor. He designs temporary exhibitions for important museums and galleries as Triennale in Milano, Danish Design Centre in Copenhagen, Living Design Centre in Tokyo and Musée Des Arts Décoratifs in Paris. As architect he designs several important architectures and private interiors in France, Italy and Portugal. He has won several awards for his exemplary design works. Some of his design works have become a permanent feature in various exhibition hall. He’s visiting professor at ISAD – Istituto Superiore di Architettura e Design and SCP – Scuola Politecnica di Design in Milan.

Our design consultant – Dirk van Gogh
Dirk van Gogh was born in Belgium in 1968. He graduated as Industrial Designer from the University College of Antwerp in 1991. He completed specialized studies of Product Development at the Technology University at Compiègne (UTC), France and started his work in Paris in 1993 for the museums “Cité des Sciences et de l’Industrie, La Villette” and “Muséum National d’Histiore Naturelle – Grande Galérie de l’Evolution”. He realized the new concept of interaction between the public and the space.
From 1997, he worked for the ”Eco Vehicle Research Project” in Japan as a concept designer for more than ten years. He generated various ideas of future automotive transportation and realized three electric vehicles, named: “Keio Advanced Zero Emission Vehicle: “KAZ I, KAZ II and KAZ III” and ‘Co-mobility’.
From 1994 he designed several concepts for furniture design (Ariane, Luna, Teatro for Juventa, Belgium), wearable products for Hedgren, Belgium and interiors for public spaces. As an associate professor design at the University of Antwerp, he lectured on concept design for the companies and universities in France, Italy, Japan and China. He is now lecturer at KASK, Faculty of Fine Arts, University College Ghent, Belgium and guides the Bachelor, Master and PhD students in various fields of design including multimedia, fashion, interior, furniture, and products.
